Numbers

“Originality exists in every individual because each of us differs from the others. We are all primary numbers divisible only by ourselves.”
~Jean Guitton

Number's 1-9.....Made by Amy Maisel....Cut wooden plaques painted with Acrylics

I was inspired by some number art I saw in a magazine and thought it would be fun to make these and I had a perfect place on my wall!!! I love folk art and these have that feel to them. I love taking simple ideas, and making art from them. My color palette is simple, I use mostly primary colors (the brighter the better) and then I tone that down with brown. Fun!!!

No Snowmen in Arizona

“Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand-and melting like a snowflake...”
Francis Bacon, Sr.

"Snow Love"...Illustration by Amy Maisel.....Pen and Ink

I miss snow!!! Building a snowman with my kids, making snow angels, digging a snow fort and mushing snowballs together and throwing them at each other....Aaaahhhh the good times! Playing in the snow is such a playful way to be creative. Just like going to the beach in summer and playing in the sand making sand castles! Isn't it wonderful to be creative with nature...It is at our fingertips every moment and we should take advantage of it when we can!!! So, those of you who have snow...go out and make a snowman!!!! Have fun!!!!

Christmas Tree
